Beside salvage, tugboat and jack-up operations DBB has been active in the underwater engineering business for more than 25 years. Through the years the ROV´s became necessary tools in the salvage, construction and inspection jobs where we have been involved.
DBB ROV Systems comes in 10 and 20 ft. Lloyds / DNV 271 qualified Containers with built in LARS (Launch and Recovery Systems). Our 10 ft. systems are built especially for jobs where deck space is limited.
Our primary ROV´s are Seaeye inspection systems and SUB-fighter systems with ability to carry various hydraulic tools, camera systems at “broadcast quality” and powerful thrusters which can hold the ROV´s in position up to maximum weather limits.
We have over the years carried out a wide range of demanding tasks as recovery of the oil from sunken vessels, assistance during salvage operations, cable inspections and repairs, dive support and taken part in the installation of several offshore windmills in Europe.
In the oil business we have regularly carried out penetration checks, drill support, inspections, seabed surveys, rig moves, conductor guidance and other tasks where the requirement has been effectiveness and fast mobilization.
Our pilots are all at Supervisor level and have several years of experience in the branch. Their backgrounds cover a wide range from electronics over mechanics and hydraulics to commercial diving.
After each job the ROV systems are serviced at the DBB workshop facilities. All functions will be tested and if necessary wet-tested in the harbour a few meters from the workshop which is also the training ground prior to tasks involving new tools.
